How to become a Pilot in India?

The bare minimum one need to come to be a pilot in India is to secure 50% marks in Physics, Maths and Chemistry in 12th. Then there are certain age standards relying on the type of license you're intending to obtain.

Step 1:

    1. The first and foremost step to become a pilot is that you should have cleared class 12th with Physics & Mathematics. There's no minimum marks criteria. If you belong to non-science stream then you have to clear these papers separately from any recognised book.

Step 2:

    2. Now to become a pilot the candidate should be medically fit. Hence Class 2 medical should be done at the earliest to know if you are medically fit to become a pilot. After that you have to go through Class 1 medical for you CPL License.

    3. Next, you need to register yourself at the DGCA website to obtain Computer Number. DGCA Computer Number is a unique identification number assigned by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) to pilots and other aviation personnel in India.

Step 4:

4. Once you completed registration at DGCA, you are all set to appear for ground theory papers. You will have to clear 6 theory papers to be an eligible CPL holder.

Step 5:

5. Once you have completed above steps, you are now set to join flying school for flying training. We recommend you get your Class 1 medicals done before flying school enrollment.

Step 6:

200 Hours of Flying Once you have cleared your papers and completed flying training, then you will have to log in minimum 200 hrs of flying to apply for commercial pilot license in DGCA After that you will be all set to fly.
